Imaginary Deserts
Where place identity is blended with politics of academic personalities. Upon moving to a small town (or exurb) in South Florida where the rodeo implanted a facade of deserts and cowboys, the politics of being on the outside of an existing political group brought this series to life. Blurry toy cowboys implanted into desert collages are occupied by confused black and white figures who question the motives, words and gestures of others.
